President's Message

Hello Everyone,

Welcome to the Oklahoma City Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA®). IMA is the world’s leading organization dedicated to empowering management accounting and finance professionals to drive business performance. Management accountants are vital to the financial health of organizations. They make critical decisions, safeguard a company’s integrity, and plan for business sustainability. Most of all, as the majority of the accounting and financial workforce, they help drive an organization’s strategy and value amid an unpredictable market.

The Oklahoma City Chapter hosts monthly technical luncheons and other CPE-eligible events. Our 2019-2020 chapter year will begin in September. Our chapter is committed to helping you expand your professional skills, better manage your organization, and reach your goals. We can help you strengthen your career through the highly respected CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) credential, connect with peers in your profession, and expand your career potential. As a part of the Global IMA organization, our vision is to be the leading resource for developing, certifying, connecting, and supporting the world’s best accountants and financial professionals in business. To achieve this, we endeavor to:

  • Support best-in-class certification – the CMA – for critical internal financial management responsibilities, including planning, budgeting, business reporting, decision analysis, and risk management.
  • Support members’ career development through access to an active professional community, continuing education, valuable information, and resources.
  • Support members and their organizations in driving business performance by promoting the highest ethical standards for internal financial management practices.

As chapter leaders, we want to be sure we are doing our job to provide support in your pursuit of your own professional goals. We also encourage you to embrace the opportunity to get involved in our chapter by attending meetings and volunteering.
